Timothy S. Eden

Tim Eden has over 37 years experience in real estate development, marketing, finance and brokerage.  In 2003, Mr. Eden formed Starr Capital LLC to invest in commercial real estate in the Washington, DC region.

As a joint venture partner with Bethesda-based Meridian Group from 2004 to 2009, Mr. Eden (through Starr Capital LLC) originated and managed the National Gateway (www.nationalgatewayarlington.com) and One Loudoun (www.oneloudoun.com) investments and is a principal in both transactions. These large mixed-use projects produced $140 million in profits over a 3 year period.  In a joint venture with Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Fund, National Gateway includes a 445,000 square foot office complex completed in November 2009 and an adjacent site for another 1,150,000 square feet of office and retail uses.  One Loudoun is a 360-acre Planned Unit Development in Loudoun County, Virginia, one of the fastest growing regions in the country.

Prior to forming Starr Capital, Mr. Eden was Senior Vice President at Walker & Dunlop for equity and debt financing and Senior Vice President at Grubb & Ellis, Inc. for sales and marketing.  Mr. Eden was a Director of Acquisitions for Capital Automotive REIT in 1998 during its start-up phase.  Mr. Eden is a graduate of Hobart College and received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

 

Michon Schenck

Managing Partner

Ms. Schenck is a retired senior executive with high technology and financial services industry expertise.  Her general management experience includes all aspects of the chief executive role.   Her last operational role was Chief Operating Officer for Financial Insights, a division of IDC, Inc.  Before that she was President & Chief Operating Officer for Financial Fusion.  She is currently a Mentor with the MIT Venture Mentoring Services where she has served for the last four years.

Ms. Schenck has extensive board experience having served on both for profit and nonprofit boards.   The companies have included two software firms, a luxury good e-commerce provider, and a top tier restaurant.  She was President for three years of her home owner’s association in Newry, Maine. She has served on the Dorothy Bruno Hills Indoor Tennis league for the last nine years.  She has served Vice Chairman, Secretary and Division Representative.  She is currently a board member of The Aquidneck Club Home Owners Association in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Ms. Schenck is a dedicated tennis player.  She plays for the Division 1A Team at Longwood Covered Courts.  Before that she was on the Division 2 team at The Country Club.  She also plays Division 1 for Longwood Cricket Club in the Western Suburban Women’s Tennis League.  She is also an enthusiastic golfer.  She plays in several tournaments every year at her Rhode Island Club and as a guest in many area member guest tournaments.  She has also played in two U.S. Seniors Golf Association tournaments at Ekwanok Club in Vermont and Jupiter Island Club in Floroida.

Michon is a passionate skier with a home in Sunday River, Maine.  She also enjoys Paddle Tennis, Pickleball, boating and fly fishing.  She is widowed, has one child, Hilbert V. N. Schenck III who is a full member at The Country Club and recently became a grandmother to a baby girl.
